2017 Steve Riddle Trophy Recipient

For the year 2017, Marty (Dr) Cato has been selected by the previous recipients as the recipient of the Steve Riddle Region 2 Memorial Trophy. Marty (Dr) Cato is a resident of Marshville NC, but because of his close proximity to Black Creek Gun Club (BCGC) - Patrick SC is his designated home club. Marty, along with a number of other club members hold matches at Black Creek ~ 11 months of the year. Marty has been instrumental in working with other members of the BCGC to make tremendous improvements to the range, and these are continuing improvements. Marty, along with his traveling and shooting partner Taylor (Rev) Byrum, can be counted on to attend all the big matches, and not just attend, but shoot 12 -13 guns each.....first shooters on the line and last shooters on the line each day. Marty's willingness to work, help others and be a great ambassador for BCGC and IHMSA are a few of the qualities that lead to his selection for 2017.
