The 2015 recipient(s) of the Steven G. Riddle Region 2 Memorial Trophy are: Ron and Sherri Dixon of Gainesville, GA - Cherokee Gun Club. Ron and Sherri epitome what Steve Riddle "walked and Talked" with IHMSA. Ron and Sherri have run the Cherokee Gun Club IHMSA Small Bore and Field Pistol matches for 15 - 20 years and have shown an unequalled dedication to IHMSA and helping new and old shooters. Cherokee is a unique match in that around 12 PM, the match stops and everyone retires to an adjacent covered Firing Line and partake of the delicious lunch that Ron and Sherri (and others on occasion) have prepared. They go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and wanted. Thank you Ron and Sherri Dixon.

Two very deserving people.
I've always said shooting @ Gainsville is like going to a family reunion complete with diner on the ground. And at the heart of that family atmosphere stands Ron and Sherri. Silhouette shooting is alive and well @ Gainsville because of their hard work and time spent making sure everyone has fun. I shot my 1st. IHMSA match there and from day one they welcome me, supported me and helped me I can't think them enough for welcoming me into the Ga. shooting family. You would think that over the years some of these good quality's would have rubbed off on Robert and Melvin but I guess even Ron and Sherri are not miracle workers

Local MDs and their supporting crews are the backbone of IHMSA. Our sport could not survive without people such as Ron and Sherri. A well deserved thanks to them in recognition of their hard work to keep silhouettes alive in GA. Never shot there but enjoy seeing their match reports.
