WTB 10" whisper barrel

Post by rr1220 »

looking for a 1-8 twist 10" 300 whisper barrel drilled and tapped for front and rear sights for taco hold sights, I know it's a stretch but I got to start looking somewhere, next option is SSK

MGM offers there "blackout" in 1 x8. Twist
Or at least mine is I think Bull Berry does also
Looking at a "Blackout" also opens more options
Than "whisper"
My $0.02

You will likely have to go the custom route if you need 1 in 8''. I am not aware that TC ever produced any 30cal that tight. They offered a good number of 1 in 10. Have you checked either Graybeard or Specialty Pistols ? rp

The 1:10 twist will stabilize up to 190 gr bullets. I have shot them a lot in various pistols. You really don't need the 1:8 unless you are going to heavier bullets at subsonic velocities

Have a 15" SSK stainless barrel in 1:8 that I picked up in '94 (or close to that) and have no regrets with it, for what it is worth.
