Re: Chat Room
Go to the homepage - ihmsa.org and you will see a ihmsa chat button. Click on that, enter your name and you'll be in and chatting. I'll go to my desktop and log in.Robert Becherer wrote:Are we suppost to click on the chat room words right above this tread?Right above the words Post Reply?

Re: Chat Room
4 users tonight and everyone seemed to like it and think it was a good idea. Proclaim, thanks for making it happen. To everyone, the chat feature is available from the home page - ihmsa.org - 24/7. Log in anytime and if there is anyone else logged in you can chat real time, or invite someone there to discuss any topic you desire. Reloading, equipment, etc., it doesn't matter. It is there to make "discussions" simpler than posting in a forum. Instant feedback as long as there is more than one person logged in.

Re: Chat Room
I agree. Works great. I couldn't find it since I didn't bookmark to the IHMSA home page and was looking on the page where you select Forum, Contact Us etc. Also didn't know the home page had been redesigned. It looks very professional and makes you feel welcome to the site. Proclaim has done an outstanding job for the IHMSA site. Just old pc dummies like me that can't look in the right place. One question about the window for the chat. I thought I could resize it so I could see more chat text but seems to be a fixed size. Can that window be resized? Sorry to ask the question since Proclaim did a great job just getting it setup. Thanks for the hard work.

Re: Chat Room
I thought it was good also.Easy to use and communicate.I hope it keeps getting better with more people involved.Need to get the word out in the IHMSA news.Great place to get instant info on any questions.People can become friends in cyberspace. The unfortunate thing is you cant meet face to face and shake hands in cyberspace.

Re: Chat Room
Thanks for the feedback! This was quickly setup as a 'trial run' to see if it would work and to see how many people would get involved. There are MANY more options available that I can look into as feedback comes in. I especially think it would be better if it were 'larger' so that you could see more of the conversations. I'd also like to have something that was 'smart phone' friendly.

Re: Chat Room
Made some changes to the 'window' of the chat room; it's bigger now so that you can see more of the conversation.

Re: Chat Room
It appears to me from research I've done that it would get much more complicated to have the chat room available to PC, Mac, iPhone, Android, etc. We'd have to use something like chat.zoho.com a Jabber Client that would require registration by everyone that wanted to chat. Give me some feedback on this please. Thanks!
