It Was Time

Notice: this is not a pity post!

After 30 plus years of shooting this crazy game, I have many friends still here so I thought it time to tell my story. Shortly after moving to AZ in July of 2019, I visited the VA hospital in Tucson. My doctor is excellent & he believed I had a lung problem. After several tests, I found out I had lung cancer due to exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. Fortunately, we caught it early, and I am cancer free for 25 months. Bottom line, I decided to retire and sold all my pistols. I am glad I did and know they are scattered around the US giving joy to people as they did to me. I am a Life member so will be hanging around this board.

Sorry to hear this, but I understand. Hopefully the new homes for the firearms will be able to appreciate what they have. Glad that you're cancer free. Please take care!!

Steve, just saw this. Wonderful news but sorry you let all your pistols go. You ran some great matches in Merlin.
