IMO -- I would opt for the creedmoor
Based on support-wise you have a better support on the grip of the gun being pressed into your thigh area and with the longer 10" barrel revolvers that gets pressed against your lower leg whereas the muzzle is clear of your lower leg for safety reasons
If you use a shorter barreled revolver then it becomes more difficult to get the grip pressed into your hip/thigh area without having the barrel far enough forward of you lower leg and creating a safety issue.
I have tried both methods and my biggest problem with the dead frog is that my knee area where the barrel is resting had more of a tendency to "Bounce" up and down while I was trying to steady the shot placement.

Modified 1/2 dead frog. Stick your left foot under your right knee.

That said, I am standing shooter and rarely shoot freestyle.

Good feedback! Did anyone shoot “frog” at Riley this July?
