Terry Batts

Terry Batts, longtime IHMSA competitor and good friend, has passed away
from his long illness* Terry will be missed by a great many silhouette shooters*
I first met him at Greenwood Gun Club, in Brazoria* Terry, I believe, was a
retired Navy veteran* He was match director at my home range, CTSA, in New Braunfels,
Texas* He faced his illness with courage & dignity and I, and many others will remember
him fondly* He was a good man! I hope his family is ok, and dealing with his loss*
I will remember him as a good competitor and fine match director* God speed, Terry!

I've had the honor of shooting alongside Terry and sharing conversations with him. He will be missed. RIP friend.

I first met Terry Batts in 1980, right after I joined IHMSA. He was living in Louisiana at the time, and we shared many conversations at the local matches. I enjoyed catching up with him after he settled in Texas at some monthly matches and at the Fort Stockton Internationals. My sincere condolences to his family and to his other friends. We are diminished by his passing !

They are having a special memorial for Terry Batts at his home range
in New Braunfels, Texas today* His children are going to be there,
and spread Terry's ashes around the range he loved! He was a good
man, and hell of a match director! I will miss him!
