Arizona State Match In 2018?

Post by az224 »

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about a state match in Arizona this year, between Sierra Vista and Tucson there are at least 20-25 potential shooters. Thrown in another 15-20 from Phoenix and there are potentially 40-50 competitors. I was going to post this in another, more appropriate section of the forum but I took a quick look there and it doesn't seem to get a lot of traffic. Tucson is the most logical choice for a state match.

To tell you the truth, I would just like to get Arizona's Match schedules for 2018!

The people you have to talk into a state match will be the people who run the Tucson Matches. which the last I had was Tony Nicholetti.

Yes, Tony still runs the Tucson match . . .it's held every 4th Sunday, published match times are from 8 to 12. The Sierra Vista match is held every 2nd Saturday, the February match went off even though the wind was gusting to around 20 mph, worse yet, at the firing line the wind was coming from 12:00, at the 100 meter line, it was coming from 3:00. Mostly small bore but a couple of big bore shooters were there. Steve Quast runs the match, it starts at 10:00 and goes until we run out of shooters.
