Meeting

Post by bkraft »

Would it be possible to post the minutes from the meeting held I believe last night at the World's in OKC?

Quickest way would probably would be to contact Ray Utter at ihmsasectreas@gmail.com
We should also have a newsletter out in the next few weeks. :ymhug:

Why can't the minutes to the delegates meeting be posted on here, instead of waiting on the newsletter?

Gary, I don't see it as a lack of transparency as much as it is just lack of communication.
I realize that the World Championships are a busy time for everyone involved, but there are a lot more shooters that could not attend than were in attendance, and are interested in what was discussed .
There are just easier and more efficient ways to communicate than the IHMSA News paper.
Anyway, thanks to all the volunteers who worked long and hard to put on the WC, and all the match directors around the country.

I can't imagine the hours that Ray has invested in this last 2 weeks. My hat is off to him, he probably has another 20 hours of paperwork after he gets home.

Meeting: allowing non magnifying reflex red dot sights on production guns, and increasing weight by 4 ounces. Trial period.

Allow kids under 12 to use front rest for PH class.

2018 match at OKC, dates are TBD.

We have some $ in bank mostly from not publishing monthly newsletter. Jared Richards will head up e-newsletter.

All of above is my wording and does not represent official minutes. Patience is your virtue! Everyone is still shooting today and traveling in following days. Wait for the minutes before picking it apart.

I'll correct myself on 2018 match....I think there was some discussion still ongoing about location.

A fitting example of why unofficial recap of meeting should not be disseminated.
