I don't have a problem with flop at all. But let's do away with ALL muzzle brakes. It's not acceptable to have a 22 standing shooter shooting right next to a 6x284 shooter (flop or Creedmoor ) with a tank brake. Unless you happen to be impervious to concussion. :)

All the blast is directed precisely at the shooters on either side of the brake.

Or, one of the easiest solutions I've heard is to cut a 5ft piece of 36 inch tin horn lengthwise and lay that over the shooter. No more blast and everyone's happy.
