East of the Mississippi River

Post by ole95 »

Looking at the posted (on this site) match reports I believe all but Iowa and Oregon are east of the river. I would say maybe 80 % of the people that post regularly are from East of the river. With maybe Ohio having some of the top poster. The out going and the incoming pres. From the east . I believe there maybe been a slight increase in the # of shooter in the East the mainly because if this web site.
The west
Our roots of this sport I guess come from the west . Our HQ is in the west in a state that as far as I know does not even host matches. The last 5 or so INT and this years INT from the west and all from states/ ranges that don't post match reports on this site.
Now what's funny the IHMSA Facebook group is 75% opposite the west of the Mississippi river crowd do maybe most of the posting. But still get very little " what's going on " in the west.

What this boils down to I will be in a car with my wife for 11 1/2' hr. In a few weeks headed to the ECC She is a INT class rambler I'm just avg. "AAA" at best
I'm trying to get Match leg up before the trip

I truly hope that Ford is yours. That is the best looking body style. Everything else aside, you made some very good points. As I read your original post, I was like "hmm........hmm.......hmm". I am very excited for the ECC. The ECC will be the largest match that I have ever attended. I'm so excited that my brother and I decided to extend our one day trip to TUSCO this weekend into both days of shooting.

Sorry the truck was googled (truck with rebel flag) =))
But I did have a 1986 short bed 4x4 150 drove that truck for 10 years
And would love to have it back
After the 1st day my afternoons is open ( shooting 2 guns early Fri and Sat.)for meet and greet time
I may added a gun or two. But really would like to just visit, talk shop and see
Who has what to trade. Watch , listen and learn. I leave the it's all about winning to the INT shooter
Avg. shooters can go and just have fun :o)

Shoot2thrill:

It will be your honor to meet this redneck (ole95, for the confused) and his lovely wife. Solid, Absolutely solid. And if he doesn't have a few battle flags laying around I would be seriously disappointed. Might degrade him from solid to firmly squishy. Regardless the Misses is solid.

Joe has been letting the ladies plan the summer schedule, the first time in many silhouette years, and shockingly enough, it doesn't include shooting. I have been nursing an elbow pain I acquired during tax season that I can't seem to shake. Might have been exacerbated by the time my 7mm08 shot through my elbow pad on the tenth shot and I shot the next 30 practically "au natural". It's getting better but I don't want to screw it up. Besides, ain't no point in talking if nobody is listening. Come to the conclusion that if you weren't there shooting with Elgin Gates your opinion does not count around here. But I'll still go to bat for my friends.

Take care pard. And kiss the misses for me.
