Re: IHMSA T shirts
Maybe IHMSA should design a shirt and sell it to help raise money.

It would also help advertise our sport.
As most folks who shoot IHMSA , spend many an hour around ,at, gun ranges practing , working up loads, ect, where other would be shooters may see or ask about our sport.
I would gladly wear an IHMSA shirt, knowing it would help US.

Re: IHMSA T shirts
If offered in various colors I would probably buy several myself. Need to have a tasteful desin, nothing garish to put across a well mannered shooting organization. Nothing that would offend anyone (anti-gun people would be exempted of course).

Re: IHMSA T shirts
My wife is an artist interested in possibly doing a design, who would we pitch it too?
Re: IHMSA T shirts
Nancy LaCroix maybe, she can take it to the board?
Re: IHMSA T shirts
Gentlemen,
Funny to see this come full circle again. For the newer members of the forum, or IHMSA. The yellow logo was the original, and was drawn up in contest some 30-35 years ago. After the contest winner was decided it was made IHMSA's standard. Shortly after Elgin Gates copyrighted it (sadly in his own name, not the corporations). And when we left Idaho, and set out on our own we lost it for a number of years. When the Gate's family claim to the copyright expired, I was informed by the copyright attorney, and from there the board regained control of it again,. And we have been using it proudly ever since.
Art work on T-Shirts has little to do with the logo, and same goes for hats. Use anything you want, but the logo. There have been other clubs who have come up with very nice designs, many good ideas utilizing the profiles of our targets.
I would imagine that HQTRS still has an ample supply of the old (Newer) logo sticker available for sale (It was the Ramshead logo).
But to make a short story a little longer, the current logo is what has been associated with IHMSA pretty much since it's infancy. Will a new logo bring in new shooters? Or make more money for IHMSA? Who knows, but it's safe to say that you can try what you like on T-Shirts, and Hats, and see if you can create a "got to have item". But using the above logo for profit, or something other than IHMSA functions is supposed to require board approval if I remember correctly.

Re: IHMSA T shirts
I think that there is a base in the idea to raise money for IHMSA .
With the raising of dues and membership dropping, this could be a way to help.
I am not thinking local either, something like this could be put in monthly paper.
