Lost A Great One - Bill Bartram

Post by 19 Turkeys »

I was notified that Bill Bartram passed away on March 9. Bill was one of the great silhouette shooters, handgun experimenters, and all around straight shooter! I feel fortunate to have met him. Click Here to View Obituary

Steve
I heard this earlier today. A few years ago(well actually, closer to 10 yrs.) I contacted Bill, and bought a couple of his silhouette guns. He was so willing to share info with me, and we became friends. He sent me a signed copy of his "Shootest" book.
Few people realize the contributions he made to silhoueette. he was instrumental in getting Anschutz to produce the Exemplar, was in on the development of the FA22.
I will miss him, even though I had not talked to him in the last few years. Man, we keep losing the good ones!

Bill was a genuinely good guy and an outstanding silhouette shot in his day.

A picture of a couple of his guns I had the opportunity to shoot. One is a modified XP and the other a modified Exemplar, aluminum stocks and tube sights. I don't know where the guns are at today.
