There are 3 courses of fire for Practical Hunter, .22LR course (.22LR using small bore targets set at small bore distances), short course (field pistol targets set at field pistol distances using field pistol approved straight walled cartridges only), and long course (big bore targets set at big bore distances using big bore guns).

Steve,

Our club has had zero new shooters try this course, or even show up at the range. Even some of our regulars have failed to show up this year. One or two established members have shot the practical course.
