Guns of the game: Big Bore

Post by Boomer »

I thought it would be interesting & fun to have a thread to show off our “toys”. Glamour shots would be great but “working” pics are also appreciated!

Please post pics of the guns you use for each category & include any particulars about it (caliber/load/optics etc).
To keep the pages loading quickly please limit the size to 640x480 pixels.

If you have problems posting photos go ahead & make your post & email the pics to me at bob[at]ihmsa.org & I will resize & post them for you & then insert them into your post.
Regards,
Bob

The top red one is a 7 International. Still has the iron sights, of course. Taking those off and putting a scope on it soon. Bottom one is a .308 that I've had since 1979. Third barrel is on it now, Taso Pro-Class 6X

Top one is a 7BR built orginally from a .221. I had a heavy barrel .308 on it for many years(not legal for IHMSA) and then picked up a 7BR barrel at a gun show in the early 90's for $20 and put it on. Bottom one(which for some reason is almost cropped off, sorry) is a standard XP in .223, my "fun gun". Both scopes are the Tasco Pro-Class 6X. Too bad they don't make those anymore.

My first XP and still my favorite, a .30DC built by Ralph Bond. It has over 17,000 rounds through the original barrel, and is still accurate enough to be my dedicated Half-Scale gun.

Dan Wesson 740-V8S .357 SuperMag. My first silhouette revolver and still a favorite shooter. Shot my first Revolver 40 with this back in 1988.
