By selecting different options, it is a workable unlimited gun at a reasonable price. Maybe not a fully custom XP-100, but for a fellow who wants one and can’t fine the XP of his choice...Heck, with the proper options, it might even be considered a production gun. Look at it with an open mind please.

Good to see one of my April Fools Jokes becoming a reality.
What make of barrel, or are they cut down Howa barrels?

You be right Philip, but once upon a time, the original XP-100 was allowed and heck with a slight dash of the pen, bolt guns that are in production might once again be production. Just looking at the possibilities. Heck, what else is really legal, affordable, capable in these days?

JTAC confirmed they shorten, re-crown and re-thread the factory barrels. They claim 2 inch groups at 200 yards from the 6.5 Grendel with the 14.5” barrel. How big are the shoot-off targets?

Is it possible to use this pistol (or any other pistol) shooting a reliable sized cartridge to knock over big bore targets from the the "flop" position, and not have to use a muzzle brake on it?
You may have to get creative with the sights or scope. And be careful with cartridge selection. I still get bumped in the glasses regularly with the 6,5 Grendel and even the .223 when running small apertures sizes.

The Howa pistol as shown has a very bad grip configuration for flop, even if the arm brace is removed. The grip needs to be almost horizontal, which may pose problems with trigger reach and finger comfort. If I ever get a round tuit, I'd like to cobble such a AR style grip just to test the theory. Other things going on just now though.

I bought something like this for my Ruger Charger (AR-15 grip) for flop position:
