Penn bullets has a hard cast 240gr truncated cone that looks promising. If that doesn't work I'm thinking about the 240gr JSP by Montana Gold. Although, the purist in me likes the idea of a flat base 250gr Keith on top of some 2400.

The Montana Gold 240 gr JSP shot well. They range in diameter from .4285 to .429 which is good in this revolver because the cylinder throats are .4295 at the most. I originally bought a box of 240 gr Hornady XTP. These bullets are .430 and they will not go through the cylinder throats without a considerable amount of persuasion. Yesterday I received a box of 250 gr Keith SWC from Magnus bullets. These are sized at .430 and I think that will do well. The one thing I was surprised at with these bullets is the weight variation. I weighed 10 at random and got weights from 255 to 263 gr. Very consistent diameter. It's been fun figuring out this Dan Wesson. Why do I keep hearing the word SuperMag in my head?
