Any 10" 7 INT-R Barrels?

Post by 260 Striker »

Found a TC Super 14 barrel converted to 7 INT-R that I always wanted to play with. Just wondering if any 10" Contender barrels were ever made in 7 INT-R. I know the 14" barrels were all converted from 7 TCU so suspect if there is a 10" it probably got converted from 7 TCU and would probably not be considered Production legal. I never thought to ask the TC Custom Shop if they chambered any 10" barrels in 7 INT-R. I always thought a 7mm Herrett would make a great Production round and the 7 INT-R would just be slightly bigger than that. Anyway, I never owned a 7 INT-R Contender barrel and just couldn't pass up the chance to shoot a little history this year. Also if anyone has any RCBS 145 cast bullet load info using SR4759 please let me know. I'm thinking about 17.0 grains would be about right.

1) Almost all 7 INT-R bbls were 7 TCU's rechambered by Elgin for The Silhouette. As they were unlimited to begin with I don't think they ever made a 10". I sure don't remember any. As far as I know T/C never made any. 7x30 Waters killed any life 7-R had.

2) SR 4759 in my 7-R and 7 TCU from139 to 160gr I ran roughly 15 gr. VERY accurate and mild on the shooter.
