Mustang Gregg IHMSA #17040 here.
:-? I have been away from IHMSA since the 1980's. But I have kept many of my silhouette handguns.
:-o I have had a lot of stuff (life as we know it) go on and I had to drop some hobbies. :-o

Well, I'm back again. And opening a new gun store in S/E Nebraska.

I have missed IHMSA a lot. And we would like to find a place to shoot .22 and big bore on Sundays.

Welcome back! If you remember your old IHMSA # you can get it back. When you rejoin, check the "renewal" box and include that number.

The only active range appears to be Holdredge. Give your state director, Ben Wilson, a call at 308-485-4755. Depending on where you are ranges in adjoining states may be closer.

(Of course, you are always welcome to shoot with us here in SW Oregon!)

Steve:

You're probably right about other states having closer IHMSA ranges.
I'm living at Table Rock, NE. That is in the far S/E corner of NE.
Our place is 10 mi from KS, 25 mi from MO, 40 mi from IA.
I would guess(?) that Holdrege is probably 225 mi away, at least.

In years past, we had one right here at Table Rock. Also at Lincoln, NE--Sabetha, KS--Louisville, NE, etc.

At present, I still have 5 sets of IHMSA .22 targets and 2 sets of NRA Hunter's pistol targets.
And we have plenty of room and impact area space for a range. *-:) *-:) *-:) *-:) *-:)

Sounds to me like you need to contact Ben Wilson & get your range sanctioned and match schedule in the IHMSA News! :D

We need new ranges big time! Go for it!

I have some topo maps of both pastures with me. So I'm looking at a "natural" area to put a range with the most safety and least possible dirtwork. I have lots of cedars and hardwoods in the timber that act as ricochet stoppers and nullify noise.
BTW: I am in Afghanistan. So I can't do a heck of a lot right now.

Rockin & Steve:

Thank you for YOUR service.
I may quit the full time and just be ARNG for 3.5 more yrs.
That'll give me an even 30 yrs.

Gregg,

You're only an hour away from the nearest range in Bennet, NE. It's located just outside of Lincoln and it's called the Lincoln Isaac Walton League Range. Here's the web site with a calender of events and contact info: http://lincolnikes.org/ .
We also shoot indoor Air Pistol once a month during the winter in their large club house.

The range in Holdrege lost its lease last summer after almost 30 years but hopes to relocate this year. The Lincoln range will be holding the Nebraska State Championships this year in September as well as monthly matches.

Hope this helps you out,
Landy in Nebraska

Landy:

I used to shoot at the LNK Ikes in the early '80's when Del Miller was still the RO.
And more recently I have shot NRA .22 rifle silhouette at the State Games at the Ikes.
Maybe I can get in a match or two this summer.

Do you have a schedule?

Thanks,
MG
