A friend of mine has just bought a winter home in Gulf Shores, AL and would like to know the closest ranges there in AL. He plans to spend the winter months down there and would like to shoot some steel while down south. I know ranges are getting scarce these days in almost every state but hope he can find one at least within driving distance. Thanks

Pensacola Florida is shooting steel. Not sure if it's sanctioned matches.

I thought they had stopped shooting. I hope Wayne, Harry, Steve and the bunch are doing well.

I spoke to Wayne last week. They recently built a dedicated silhouette range and use electronic scoring targets. Steel swingers with electronic recognition of a hit. I think Harry is doing OK. Not sure about Steve.

Anderson County has just finished a new 600 yard range. We want to host some 500 meter matches. Gentlemen if you still have the information on the hit recognition system. Please forward it to me.

We do not have the targets or stands to put on a match. Targets would have to be bought and stands built.
