Geneva after Irma

Post by 2whlgeezer »

Went out to Geneva this AM to check out the range.
The power is out at SCGAA and the range will remain closed until it is restored. Good news is that the roof on the competition (aka silhouette) range is intact. Rifle range not as lucky. Somehow Irma was able to toss the water logged benches around onto the front apron and messed up the black apron cover a bit, but no big deal. Not so good news is that much of the sand covering the berms has been washed off. We tried to begin restoring, but the sand is water logged as well and weighs a ton, so the shovel work on the berms will have to wait until things dry out a bit.

Do not see any possibility of a make up date for September, so expect to be back shooting in October.
