Re: What scope do you like for .22 pistol small bore?

My Anschutz pistols with scopes usually wear the old Weaver Classic V16 or V24 scopes. The V24s don't have a lot of internal adjustment, so they need the Burris rings with the offset inserts to make the most of their capabilities. I run them up to full power, Lisa dials them down a bit. Especially g...

Re: Firearm Recommendation Wanted

Cherokee Gun Club hosts Small Bore (including 1/5 scale) and Field Pistol, with Air Pistol on request. T/Cs, although out of production, are probably the easiest choice to get started. For Field Pistol, quite a few of us CGC shooters use S&W revolvers, just because we like them, certainly not be...

Re: If IHMSA was starting today...

OK, then. Seems to me that a hinderance to new shooters is that having a good spotter is a big part of making progress. If you're on, no worries. But if you're off, it gets frustrating quickly! Perhaps an "Instant Replay" camera that can show where the last shot went? Seems to me that it w...

Re: If IHMSA was starting today...

For what it’s worth … I am a new IHMSA shooter (3 years) and here is why I like the sport: 1. Hit or miss scoring with immediate feedback. 2. Multiple categories to pick from (e.g. UAS, Smallbore, Big Bore, etc.). 3. Freestyle position - allows for creativity and innovation without investment. 4. T...

Re: 45 Colt

I tried a S&W625 with 200gr cast bullets in US once. Or twice? Not too bad except for 200m Rams. Rang most of the ones i hit. (Not a hot load, though. Probably at the time 8.0 gr of 231 under the SWC boolit. That or an IMR 800x load which runs a bit faster.)

Re: ISO 32-20 brass

I will do my bit and place an order with Starline as well. (Only took about 6 months to get a mess of .32 Magnum.)
.25-20 would be good as well.

ETA: Well, that didn't work! Starline isn't accepting backorders on .32-20.
You'd think it would be a good indicator for demand when your queue is full....

Re: ISO Contender G2 Grip

I may have one. It doesn't fit my other Contenders. Having never laid hands on another G2 grip it's just a guess. Black, probably ABS, with recoil reducing insert molded into the rear. Would gladly swap for a first gen version of the same style. ETA: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/EeIAAOSwATZgTmSD/s...

Re: Weaver 2.5-8 Handgun Scope NEW

Folk will jump in at the last possible second on the auction. Why run up the price earlier? If it had a "Buy it Now" option it would likely be sold already. BTW, starting price is $200. I already have at least two. Mostly on the look out for the Weaver Classic (not Extreme) V series rifle ...

Re: Front Sight Apertures

I've started making "Hole In Post" front sights, including a nominal 0.048" aperture (~1.2mm). If you have one of the hooded front sight assemblies that takes 10-32 threaded front sight blades it should work. (I did a couple of 0.032" (0.8mm) apertures, but they're a PITA to do a...
