Re: Practical Hunter Legal

Well, Greg - I sincerely hope that SOMEBODY provides an answer to your question ! I have asked for specifics on fore ends, and have received none ! I also think that what happened to you and others at the Internationals was ---------- (I will not print how I really feel about it !) ~x( Personally, I...

Re: Fore end rule proposal- board vote

According to the "clarification" I have received - there are no problems with any of the guns and their usage currently used by shooters in Louisiana. They will still be used and welcomed at our matches. I will , however advise anyone that ever plans to shoot out-of-state that they may exp...

Re: Fore end rule proposal- board vote

Rich - I have to assume that you feel that you are doing the right thing, but it seems that you are evading my question. I need to know, as a state director - what EXACTLY is legal and what is not. So, if a fore end has any kind of concave shape to it, it is illegal ?? By this description - many XP ...

Re: Fore end rule proposal- board vote

I only have one question - and I asked Doug Edney this same question. How many times has the protest procedure been implemented against a shooters "violation" ?? The reason I ask is that nothing has really been solved, in my opinion. Doug's illustrations in the annual IHMSA News was the on...

Re: Fore end rule proposal- board vote

I thank the board for their action on this - I suppose the true test will begin next week at the Internationals. I sincerely hope that no "vendettas" are acted upon, and that any perceived "violations" are dealt with via the protest procedure.

Re: 300 Blackout loads for Big Bore

I have owned (2) 300 Whisper (300 AAC B/O) guns, a 10" factory Contender barrel and a 14 7/8" Lilja-barreled XP-100. I used Hornady 150 SP 13.5 296 in the TC, and used a Sierra 180 SBT - 13.0 296 in the XP. Both loads were supersonic, and I never lost a hit ram with either configuration

Re: new UAS, UASHS Big Bore gun

I posted this topic in jest - I have been shooting this set-up on a Contender platform for many years - swapping this fore arm between my .22LR Match, my MGM 22 Hornet, and my Big Bore guns. The proposed rule change will make this configuration illegal (because of the fore end height - measurement t...
