Re: Left the Range

I am saddened to hear this. Though we never met, I always considered Lynn my friend. Condolences to his family.

Re: Help

There is a Steve Gerot who lives in Seminole, OK and he's a Facebook friend of Jim Fields and Jackie Brown. Could that be the same guy?

March Match Results - Ascension Silhouette

ASCENSION SILHOUETTE GONZALES, LA MARCH 7, 2021 BY: CHARLIE BRAUD We had great weather for our March match and were happy to see the return of some shooters that we haven’t seen for a while. The father and son team of Cliff and C. J. Johnson arrived early and their good natured rivalry put a smile ...

February Match Results - Ascension Silhouette

ASCENSION SILHOUETTE GONZALES, LA FEBRUARY 7, 2021 BY: CHARLIE BRAUD Our March match day started a little cold but warmed quickly. Steve Hernandez shot a respectable Standing score of 20X40 with a Ruger MK. Ellis Sisk started the season off right with a 40X40 in PH22 using a FA revolver. My brother...

Re: Getting people interested in IHMSA

I did this very thing at my match last weekend. Our swap meet was geared toward keeping current shooters in the game. We don't have a gun club here. We use the Sheriff's range so I only networked with my usual shooters.

January - Ascension Silhouette

We had scheduled a match for this date but only myself and two other IHMSA members showed up. None of us were really prepared to shoot for score. We used the day to practice for next month, sight in new equipment, and test new loads. We do not have a shooting range available to us on a membership ba...

Re: What kind of power is too much power for FP targets?

I can't speak for the gentleman shooting the 38 Special in a Contender. But my 357 revolver only needs 7 clicks total elevation from chickens through rams. 100 meters is not all that far when it comes to trajectory. My 22 Hornet only needs 2 clicks on a Bomar for rams. Chickens through turkeys all u...

Re: What kind of power is too much power for FP targets?

The question could be asked, how much power can the targets take, or a more reasonable question would be, how much power is require to provide dependable knock-down. I have used a 22 Hornet with light loaded 55 grain bullets with 100% reliability. I have also been trying my Dan Wesson 357 Mag revolv...
