Melvin,
Thanks for the heads up on this. It's going on the XP I bought last year.

Re: 22 Hornet twist rate
I don't know much about the 25-20. I'm open to suggestions. What advantages would 25-20 have over 22 Hornet?

Re: 22 Hornet twist rate
Thanks for the quick reply. The next faster twist rate offered is 1-9. I reckon that would do alright unless I'm missing something.

22 Hornet twist rate
I've got an itch to try 22 Hornet for FP and was looking to get an aftermarket barrel made. I filled out the internet form until I got to a choice of twist rates. The site listed 1-12 as good for 40-55 gr bullets. I thought I would check here before I hit the "add to cart" button. Is 1-12 ...

The great thing about 7 TCU is the brass. 223 brass is so cotton picking cheap I don't worry about a split neck or two. I bought a big bag of range brass, separated them by headstamp and learned about reloading 7 TCU. I think the brass cost me 4 cents a piece.
Re: 7 TCU
The current Hornady reloading manual has just the kind of info you are looking for. Most of the reloading data I have found for 7 TCU was collected using 14" barrels. Not the Hornady data. It's all 10". Very useful

Re: Bullet construction
I expected that there would be some anecdotal evidence supporting the theory that HP match bullets aren't up to snuff taking down rams. Thanks guys!

Bullet construction
I've been pondering bullet construction. Specifically I'm wondering about "match" bullets, i.e. HPBT vs SPBT or SP. When thinking about the mechanical accuracy of the pistol, it seems to me that the projectile is in the top two or three things that will determine this. As such, it seems na...

Re: New Remington bolt action pistol
Ok. Resurrecting this semi-old thread. I think it deserves some attention. These things are ~$750 on GB. Not bad for an unlimited gun with factory and tons of aftermarket support. As previously said it is based on the M700 and comes with Magpul furniture. I asked about magazines and the Rem rep told...
