Re: Good load for .44 Magnum?
The best load I've used with 240 gr swaged lead bullets has been 22.3gr of IMR 1498 or the same volume of RL-7. Basically it fills the case to the base of the bullet. Super low ES velocity and SD in single digits over a chronograph. No leading over however long you care to not clean your barrel. Wor...

Glad you got it, Stephen!
It had been gnawing at me for a bit....
It being RH was the main drama.

Re: ".357 Match" BF Chamber
I've found both 0.355" and 0.358" pilots for my old Forster case neck turner, so we'll see how that does. Lapping the chamber is a distant second option at this point. Last time I did that was with a Type 99 Japanese LMG that I was converting to 7,62x39 for a fellow I knew. Took ages! He s...

".357 Match" BF Chamber
I bought a .357 Magnum BF some time back which is marked "Match" on the barrel. Trouble is that it won't take any load that has a 0.358" bullet! Which would indicate that ammo with 0.357" bullets have only 0.001" clearance or less. Brass thickness seems fairly consistent bet...

Re: Starline 32-20 brass
After hunting and not even seeing any squirrels on Friday I bagged 250 '70s vintage NOS unprimed Winchester .25-20 cases at a shop about half way home from the WMA. Daaaang! There's a TC barrel that's not been fed for a while. I supposed they could be expanded to .32-20.....
not.
not.

Re: What scope do you like for .22 pistol small bore?
@jmoore What are Burris rings with the offset inserts? If possible, please post a link. Thanks! Burris Signature Rings with the Pos-Align inserts. 1" scopes can be offset up to 0.040", 30mm only 0.020", IF you can find the 30mm offset inserts. They used to be fairly common, but not s...
