Re: 357 loads for Field Pistol
Hello again. I'm back to a .357 (S&W 4" model 19) but like so many of us, have just a small amount of components because of the hoarders. VERY few small pistol primers and no jacketed bullets of any weight. So, I'm hoping you can suggest a powder with load amt for loads under the sound barr...

Re: Bullet weight and powder for .32 H&R Mag in Ruger for Field Pistol
Thank you jmoore. I know I'm a novice when working up loads. A fellow shooter here went to Mag SP primers because of similar issues. Have you tried that path? The one time I used H4227 it "caked" with a stnd primer in a .44 Special and never really ignited. I want (must?) stay with a .32 m...

Bullet weight and powder for .32 H&R Mag in Ruger for Field Pistol
Hello. I posted this on "reloading" with one excellent reply from jmoore. I hope others may help. My arthritis is getting worse and has brought me to the .32 mag. (I just like revolvers best). Per jmoore, I measured the cylinder throats (.313-4 average) and will be using his recommended Ba...

Bullet weight and powder for .32 H&R Mag in Ruger for Field Pistol
Hello. Well good 'ole "Arthur" has driven me to a .32 H&R Mag in a Ruger for Field Pistol. Which bullet weight and powder would be the best choices in a 6 1/2" Ruger Bisley Single Six? Thanks.

A .38 Super for Field Pistol?
With hand arthritis becoming more of an issue I'm searching for a cartridge I can use. I've never seen the .38 Super or +P version of it as choices. It appears to be legal. With the exception of the "sound barrier" issue, is there anything "wrong" with the .38 Super or +P version...

357 loads for Field Pistol
In a never ending--yet fun--search for a revolver FP gun based on available components I plan to use a 6" 686 with open sights. Does anyone have suggested powder/starting loads? There seems to be many out on the web but few, if any, addressing our need for 100 meter accuracy. I was able to purc...

30-20 110gr jacketed loads
I have a quantity of the Nosler 110gr .308 tipped Varmageddon bullet and would like to use them in my 10" 30-20 TC for FP with Starline brass and the Federal match sm pistol primer. Can anyone suggest a powder--or powders and starting loads? Thanks.

44 Special loads for FP
I've recently moved permanently to AZ from MN. I know FP is a downloaders game and that the Hornet dominates but for me the revolver is what "works". I've used Hamilton Bowen's accurate, repeatable drop-in rear sights for the regular Rugers for years for silhouette and deer (9 bucks). He d...
