Re: Bullet Shape Vs Accuracy

19 turkeys brings up a good point. You'll want to go for expanding ammo. You couldnt go wrong with a hornaday flex tip I would think. Kinda expensive but good bullets for hunting usually are, and good bullets for IHMSA fill a totally different set of requirements. Speer deep curl would also be good....

Re: Customized stocks and Grips?

Interesting, I didn't consider that tidbit. Good to know if I ever decide to use my 45 for a competition.

Re: Customized stocks and Grips?

Coincidentally my first attempt will be for my hi-point. The grips simply have a philips screw holding it on and come right off, the frame is nice and square as well. I dont need them, nor do I really want them on that gun but for the sake of practice I can try and make some nice finger grips, then ...

Customized stocks and Grips?

Hi yall. Ive been mulling over an idea I have had for quite a while. I keep running into forum posts in other places of people looking for custom wooden grips for their revolver, pistol (often a stryker or xp-100), or a custom wood stock for their rifle. I do wonder if I can make one. I have had ide...

Re: Match reports on website and reason not to

As for lurkers I am a bonafide example. I watched a rimfire shoot on youtube. I went to my lift off source, wikipedia, which has an abysmal section on silhouette dedicated to IHMSA. I then looked for a REAL source to see what this sport is all about. Now here we are. The more reports you have the be...

Re: Match Video

I wouldnt know either way. It looks uncomfortable and I dont think I would try it that way. I would tend to go for a free pistol stance or just the classic isoscelese. of course I dont have experience shooting any other kind of way. Perhaps thats why.

Re: Saturday Night Check In 5/12

kg4tyr: Well thats a bummer but like you said folks stick their nose where it doesnt belong. I guess they would rather folks go hide in the woods and fire off into oblivion instead of doing it in a controlled environment. I hope it works out for you.

Re: Saturday Night Check In 5/12

Robert: I dont know anyone who does but the principle would be the same minus speed limitations based upon your hardness of alloy. I have a site I know of for designing your own mold and while it doesnt give bc it does give suggested twist and throat dimensions as well as dimensions for case OAL and...

Re: Saturday Night Check In 5/12

They do it to hold back the shooters. They are just building hoops to jump through hoping the cost will prohibit the project form happening. Around my area I have seen huge arguments start up over newer local shooting ranges trying to get started. The locals demonstrate, call the news, and make a te...
