Re: Dean Grua

This is Dean's wife, Marilyn Grua. I don't know if any of you have shot with Dean and/or have photos taken of him in the past (since Dean got around to different matches and states, for at least 35 years), but if you have any, would you PM me using Dean's IHMSA80x80 username and email them to me ple...

Re: Gun mod questions for Production Categories

80X80, I'm guessing that AMT barrel was probably tried when Ruger was still offering their own 10" guns. Yes, that was back in 1986. Now that Ruger no longer produces the MK10 does that now mean an aftermarket barrel/receiver can now be used to build a gun similar to a standard MK10? I'm wonde...

Re: Gun mod questions for Production Categories

I agree with Philip. I had a 10" AMT receiver/barrel mounted on a Ruger MKII grip frame. That made it an Unlimited gun.

Re: Best Barrel Length for FA Model 2008 - 44 Mag

Stick with the 10" barrel. You can shoot the gun in a lot more categories and you won't be competing against the Unlimited guns like the XP-100 and the TC Contender.

Re: Thompson Center Contender 7mm TC/U Sight Settings

I sighted mine in at 100 meters on the pigs, That was with a 6 o'clock hold on the belly over the front leg. That was recorded as my zero...how many clicks from the bottom it took to get there. For chickens, I didn't change anything, just held on the belly of the target. For turkeys, I came up 2 cli...

Re: max charger barrel

15" is the maximum barrel length allowed in Unlimited.

Length of the barrel is less important than the quality of the barrel.

I know you once ran IHMSA matches in KY.
Just curious if you are still an IHMSA member and if you still shoot? Haven’t seen your name in results lately

I am no longer a member of IHMSA, but I still shoot silhouette there. Being a non-member, my scores are not reported to headquarters.

Re: Wolf

It does say made in England. Might shoot like the lower grades of Eley, but I have no plans to try any.
