Re: RPM safety stuck….

Thanks for a VERY helpful reply. There seems to be no tension at all, and when the pistol is cocked I can squeeze the trigger then use my thumb to push the firing pin indicator to the fired position. While pushing the indicator in there is a definite “dragging” type of resistance that leads me to th...

Re: RPM safety stuck….

Rookie mistake… The protruding cocking indicator had me assume that the pistol was cocked… It was not. Properly cocking the gun proved it totally fine, just my mistake not realizing how far out the indicator would actually protrude when fully cocked. So I moved to RPM “2”, and found what appears to ...

Re: 30 maximum load data ?

Well, full-length sized Maxi cases in a 300BO die is obviously not correct. Dropping a 300BO case into the chamber leaves the rim about 3/8” deep, so using a 300BO die to push the shoulder back to the proper length is feasible to fireform but the “full-length sizing” suggestion was obviously wrong. ...

Re: 30 maximum load data ?

A little time came available to test the “300 BO FL die” theory, and if you do attempt to form the shoulder on the 30 Max with one, it will be approximately 3/8” above the shellholder to get proper headspace on the new shoulder….. No biggie. As with any firearm of this type, sneaking up on the shoul...

RPM safety stuck….

Looking at the thumb safety it appears that a simple plunger at the base slips thru a matching hole in the frame to allow depressing to enable the pistol to fire. The pistol locks and cocks fine, apparently, but the safety is stuck in the “Up/Safe” position preventing the trigger moving rearward. Ha...

Re: 30 maximum load data ?

Thanks… Were dedicated dies used, or was case-forming and loading done by using a common die set with the Maxi parent case?
One gentleman thought the Maxi case was simply full-length sized in a 300BO die to form and reload…. Does that sound correct?

Re: 30 maximum load data ?

Thanks, I assumed it was based on the Maxi case, but wanted to be sure. I “think” it was mentioned elsewhere that a 300 BO die was used to form the case, but again I’m looking for any info pertaining to the cartridge because I might opt to use it in an RPM pistol. I’ve been unable, so far, to find a...

Re: 30 maximum load data ?

Would anyone explain what the 30 Max is to me?
I’ve been an avid shooter/reloader for 4+ decades, but not familiar with the wildcat.
Parent case, case forming, and any sort of load data (or where to find it) would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
